《省钱大比拼》是中央电视台《夕阳红》栏目隆重推出的大型娱乐竞赛节目，节目融娱乐性、趣味性、服务性于一体，节目的口号是“省钱靠智慧，勤俭是美德”。节目主要内容是：为三位参赛老人提供100 元菜钱，比赛时间是一个月。在这一个月中参赛选手要充分展示他的勤俭持家能力和精湛的厨艺，三位选手中谁钱花得最少但是日子过得最好，并且在饮食上最讲究营养搭配的老人就是本次比赛的总冠军。每月的总冠军还可以得到两个出国旅游的免费名额。
